Business Challenge

With a complex, global distribution channel including department stores, mass retailers, specialty shops, and e-commerce, Kayser-Roth required a robust, secure environment to meet business needs and customer demand.

Lack of support: Kayser-Roth’s previous Managed Services Provider went through multiple rounds of mergers and acquisitions. With each transfer of ownership, their level of service degraded, and they began experiencing performance issues that were difficult to resolve.

High costs: Costs continued to creep up, with no equivalent enhancements in features or functionality.

SAP expertise: Kayser-Roth required a partner that was well versed in SAP with teams of experts familiar with delivering complex projects within strict deadlines.

Modern cloud: With over 1/3 of sales coming from digital commerce, a secure, scalable, reliable environment was an absolute must.

The Protera Solution

Protera began by taking over support for Kayser-Roth’s non-production environments which were already living in AWS. The next phase of the project involved migrating all SAP production workloads into AWS.
Protera also established a DR environment within AWS for Kayser-Roth’s production instances of SAP ECC, PI, SAP BW, and several web dispatchers.
